| | Rates When
quoting for transcription, we will quote per recorded minute of audio
or video i.e. an interview of 65 minutes will be quoted as: 65 x rate.
We
do not charge per typed page or per typed line as the formatting of the
transcript or typed
document would then affect the amount you will be required to pay i.e.
the size of the type or the line spacing used would then impact on the
amount charged to you. By quoting per recorded minute of audio or
video, you will have an indication upfront of how much the
transcription is going to cost you.
Please contact
us for a quote. It would be helpful if you could supply
the following information in order that we may supply you with a
comprehensive quotation.
| » | Recording
situation e.g. is it dictation of a report, a recording of a
lecture or a one-on-one interview, or a multi voice
meeting with
four participants. | | » | The
total amount of recorded audio hours you need transcribed e.g. 30
minutes; or 4 hours; or ongoing work; etc. |
Exchange Rate
South Africa is in
fact not a
low cost
operating environment. It is actually a
relatively expensive operating environment. International companies
benefit by doing business with South African companies due to the low
value of the local currency (South African rand - ZAR). For
example, US$1 buys about R6-50 to R7-50 depending on the prevailing
exchange rate.
