Transcript IndicatorsTranscript indicators (frequently called notation) are the various symbols and abbreviations used by transcriptionists to indicate specific voice, noise or other occurrences that occur in an audio file. For example, a short pause is indicated by means of an ellipsis (...) and a long dash (—) indicates an interruption. Although indicators are mostly self-explanatory, a full list of Etranscript's indicators will be emailed to you along with your first completed transcript. See also Transcript Types |
